YA Yoga Alliance

Yoga Alliance registers both individual yoga teachers and yoga teacher training programs (schools) who have complied with minimum educational standards established by the organization. It is the only nationally recognized registry of its kind in America.
Registration may be achieved at two levels; for graduates of 200 hour programs and of 500 hour programs. Graduates of such programs receive certification which will verify their qualification for the Yoga Alliance registry application process. Recognition of Yoga Alliance registrants is growing worldwide.
There are 175 Yoga Alliance registered teachers in Japan. Only six of those registrants, including Naoko, are listed at 500 hr level. Naoko is currently authorized to teach, in Japanese language, Nosara Yoga Institute's 200 hr level YTT certificate program. This program is available exclusively at HYI.

About Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health

Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in America was founded in 1966 by Swami Kripalu's disciple, Yogi Amrit Desai, a native of India. Located today in the Berkshire Mountains near Lenox, Massachusetts, for over 25 years Kripalu has been the largest yoga and holistic health center in North America, where 25,000 people a year come for workshops, conferences and personal retreats. Kripalu yoga was inspired by Swami Kripalu from India. Kripalu means compassion. Kripalu yoga does not place so much stress on perfection of asana as much as it does upon deepening consciousness of one's self through asana. By moving through asanas at a meditative pace, practicing mindfulness, one can observe conservation of energy, relaxation of body and release of mental tension.
In addition to a wide variety of holistic health topics to choose from, Kripalu's catalog also offers extensive professional training options. Kripalu's ever evolving mission and diverse curriculum reflect a leading edge of the world's most forward thinking in today's modern society. And as the nation's leading association for yoga teachers, for over 15 years the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association 2,200 plus membership has been growing and sharing the profound benefits of yoga worldwide.
HOLT Yoga Institute's founder, Naoko Mira Robinson, humbly endeavors to positively influence other Japanese people with various, applicable Kripalu experiences and education which she has gained over the years.
